Everyone gets the same ten questions each day. Starting October 22, each dig mixes four categories: three questions in the golden category, three in another, and two in each of the others. Find an answer that fits a playful prompt. Obvious answers work; unexpected connections dig deeper.
The clue points to one jackpot answer. Your speed bonus starts at 5× and fades to 1× over 20 seconds. Take as long as you need; upgrades can extend that bonus.
Wrong answers let you try again. Type “skip”, “next”, or “I don’t know” to skip, or use the Skip button. Skips score zero. Prepared answers resolve instantly. New ideas are checked by AI; if checking is slow, your answer and speed bonus are saved while you continue. Pending checks resume when the game is open, and totals stay provisional until resolved. Each prompt has a large prepared answer bank with alternate wording and typo suggestions; a valid idea may still be missing.
Your knowledge score counts answer points only. Speed and equipment change metres dug. Caves add a free fall. Deeper soil is harder.
After ten prompts, take on three quick questions: 10 seconds and one attempt each. Each correct answer earns 50 points and 100 metres. A clean sweep adds another 200 points and 500 metres. Then pick an upgrade. It becomes available from the next reset, remains installed, and can reach rank III. Equipment bonuses stack up to 3×. Missing a day costs nothing.
